First Aid at Work Requalification

You should ideally attend this course before your current certificate expires, and you must take this course within a month after your qualification expires at the very latest to continue to act as a first aider in your workplace.

This course will give you a refresh on the previous topics covered in your First Aid at Work qualification.

You will learn about:

• Dealing with collapse with or without breathing.
• Recovery Position.
• CPR and the use of defibrillators (AEDs).
• Choking.
• Management of seizures.
• Bleeding and shock.
• Minor workplace incidents.
• Burns.
• Roles and responsibilities.
• Incident reporting.
• First aid kit contents.

The examination on day 2 will consist of a practical assessment of the following:

• How to help an unconscious patient.
• Control of a haemorrhage.
• Practical C.P.R – Adult, child & baby.
• Oral assessment questions.
