IOSH Managing Safely Annual Refresher
IOSH Managing Safely Refresher is a practical classroom based course, with step-by step guidance and a clear business focus. The format and content keep your staff interested and stimulated throughout the course – critical to getting safety and health embedded across the whole organisation.
Dates are available upon request, so please get in touch today to register your interest.
This course covers:
- Thinking back - Delegates reflect on what they took away from the full Managing Safely course. They will also revisit the key reasons for managing safely and recap some of the key terms in an engaging and participative way.
- Leadership - Why leadership is important, and how to create a positive safety culture.
- Plan - What is a safety and health policy and what does it include? How to implement the policy.
- Do - Delegates undertake a risk assessment exercise. What are the best ways to communicate the findings and the safety and health plan to the workforce?
- Check - What types of data are there? What can be measured and how does this help in seeing if ‘the plan’ is implemented and working?
- Act - Why it is essential to review performance, act on lessons learned and strive to improve continually. Delegates then reflect on what they have learned and how they will use this in their workplace.
The course uses an interactive case study to apply refreshed knowledge to the plan-do check-act model and then link it back to the workplace.
Learners will discover what a safety and health policy looks like, come up with ideas to influence safety culture and select the best communication methods to engage a workforce.
Successful delegates are awarded an IOSH Managing Safely Refresher certificate.
- Greater productivity, from fewer hours lost due to sickness and accidents.
- Improved company-wide safety awareness culture and appreciation of safety measures.
- Active staff involvement to improve the workplace.
- Enhanced reputation within the supply chain.
