First Aid At Work (ITC First Certified Course)

You don't need any prior knowledge to take this first aid course, your first aid trainer will walk you through each topic and practical skill. 

To pass, by the end of the 3-day course you should meet the required standard according to the First Aid Regulations as stated and described by the Health and Safety Executive.

This 3-day First Aid at Work course includes:

• Dealing with collapse with or without breathing.
• Recovery Position.
• CPR and the use of defibrillators (AEDs).
• Choking.
• Management of seizures.
• Bleeding and shock.
• Minor workplace incidents.
• Roles and responsibilities.
• Incident reporting.
• First aid kit contents.
• Common and serious workplace injuries including fractures/dislocations.
• Head Injuries and spinal injuries.
• Eye injuries.
• Anaphylaxis and use of Auto Adrenaline Injectors.
• Illnesses.
• Burns treatment.
• Poisoning.

On completion of the course you will:

• Have the knowledge and skills, identified by the HSE, for the management of emergency incidents and the treatment of illness and injuries in the workplace.
• Receive your own First Aid manual.
• Gain an ITC Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work with a valid (licence to practice) lifetime of 3 years from date of completion.
