Job Description:

Adelphi Masterfil Ltd is looking to recruit a reliable and organised Materials and Purchasing Assistant to support efficient production operations at its Tandem Works facility in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth management of inventory, timely procurement of materials, and effective coordination of manufacturing builds. The successful candidate will work closely with the Workshop Manager, Production, Planning, and Purchasing teams to help maintain uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving goods, checking deliveries against paperwork, and booking stock accurately into the ERP system
• Picking and kitting materials and components in line with production orders and BOMs
• Monitoring stock accuracy through cycle counting and investigating discrepancies
• Supporting purchasing activities, including purchase order creation, supplier follow-up, and reviewing confirmations
• Packing and booking consignments, from small parcels through to palletised goods
• Monitoring production build status and helping resolve material shortages
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, health & safety, and quality compliance

Skills & Experience:

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Good IT skills and ability to work across multiple systems
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Positive and flexible approach with a willingness to learn
