Course Content
What you will learn
The course covers key aspects of occupational health and safety including:
- How to manage health and safety effectively in the workplace

- Conducting risk assessments and developing action plans

This combination of “know and do” skills means learners can apply what they learn immediately to benefit their organisation.
Course structure and assessment
The qualification consists of two units:
- GNC1 – Management of Health and Safety: assessed through an open-book examination
- GNC2 – Risk Assessment: assessed through a practical risk assessment and action plan based on your workplace
Successful completion of both units leads to the full NEBOSH National General Certificate.
