This course is perfect for those with experience in a workshop environment, and experience as a CNC Machine operator.

 

The half-day course takes place in collaboration with Colchester Machine Tool Solutions and combines theoretical learning and hands on instruction at the machine, and has been developed and delivered by an experienced shopfloor worker and qualified trainer with 40+ years of experience in CNC and manual milling and turning.

This Module Covers:

  • Where to use cutter compensation
  • Cutter compensation right and left
  • Rules applying and cancelling compensation
  • Tool position and method of applying compensation
  • Storing tool cutter radius data
  • Using the same profile co-ordinates for roughing and finishing through sub programmes and tool data
  • Sub-programme call and end
  • Sub-programme call ‘x’ number of times
  • Sub-programme nesting
