CNC Turning: Basic G-Code programming
This course is perfect for those with experience in a workshop environment, and experience as a CNC Machine operator.
The half-day course takes place in collaboration with Colchester Machine Tool Solutions and combines theoretical learning and hands on instruction at the machine, and has been developed and delivered by an experienced shopfloor worker and qualified trainer with 40+ years of experience in CNC and manual milling and turning.
This module covers:
- Fanuc A & B
- G codes
- M codes
- Building up the start of a programme
- Safe tool call position
- Inserting the speed and feed for the operation required
- Rapid to the cutting point with tool offset on
- Controlled facing and turning
- Taper turning and chamfering
- Machining radii clock-wise and counter clock-wise
- Canned cycle for rough machining, internal and external
- Parting off
- Moving to tool change position
- Programme end
Courses are priced per person per module, and all half day modules are available on a pick and mix basis to suit your company's needs. Dates are flexible and can be arranged upon booking.
