Manual Milling: General Milling

This course is perfect for those with experience in a workshop environment, and basic machine operational knowledge of a manual or CNC Turret Mill.

The half-day course takes place in collaboration with Colchester Machine Tool Solutions and has been developed and will be delivered by a trainer with 40+ years of experience in CNC and manual milling and turning.

This Module covers:

• Tooling selection and set-up
• Setting the spindle speed and method of feeding
• Face Milling - Roughing and finishing machining a flat top face at different levels
• Peripheral Milling - Roughing and finishing external contours of different sizes and lengths to a finish and a tolerance & Roughing and finishing internal contours of different sizes and lengths to a finish and a tolerance
• Slot milling

Courses are priced per person per module, and all half day modules are available on a pick and mix basis to suit your company's needs. Dates are flexible and can be arranged upon booking.
