This course is perfect for those with experience in a workshop environment, and basic machine operational knowledge of a manual or CNC lathe.

 

The half-day course takes place in collaboration with Colchester Machine Tool Solutions and has been developed and will be delivered by a trainer with 40+ years of experience in CNC and manual milling and turning.

Module Content

This module covers:

  • Tooling selection for external turning and finishing
  • Facing- producing a square face
  • Surfacing- producing diameters of different sizes and lengths to a tolerance and producing diameters with a specified surface finish
  • Grooving- producing grooves, undercuts and parting off
  • Knurling- producing a diameter with a knurled finish

Courses are priced per person per module, and all half day modules are available on a pick and mix basis to suit your company's needs. Dates are flexible and can be arranged upon booking.
